I had to make a flat stanley to take around with me over the summer ^_^ so this is him. He's made out of felt, and because I don't have a sewing machine he's done by hand :heart: I wanted to add an orange felt patch to match his eye but I never got around to it. I also never put on a mouth but I am thinking about getting a zipper :D

naw it's not something that everyone has heard about :aww: You aren't dumb at all :w00t:

it was a book that everyone almost everyone read in elementary school and you got a paper cut out and you had to take him around with you and take pictures of your summer...

but now I guess cause I'm in highshcool they think we're capable of making one out of fabric for french class ^^; the problem is I don't remember much of my french I can only say is... je ne parle pas francias... which means I don't speak french :lmao:

A lot of people laugh at me when I don't know some of the things they do, and it's not fair because I don't watch every movie that comes out, and I don't read every book that comes out, and, honestly, I don't want to.
And just because I don't, doesn't mean I'm dumb. -_-'

That sounds fun! I wish I could've done something like that when I was a kid. :)

Yeah, I think sometimes teachers/principals/etc. just push students into something and don't give it a second thought. >.>

I don't speak French. I'd love to, but I don't.
And I hate to say it, but I think it's almost impossible for me to learn another language.
I've tried. It just doesn't stick with me. :(
One thing I think that keeps me from learning another language is accents. I'm afraid that I'll say everything with some crazy accent and everyone will laugh. :paranoid:
That's probably not the reason, but one of the hundred reasons that keep me from learning anther language. :crazy:

haha I completely fail when it comes to pronouncing anything in french ^_^ my accent is terrible too but it's the same for everyone in class so I don't worry about it :D

I took spanish in middle school and almost nothing stuck ^^; and now I've taken a semester of french and can only say I don't speak the language... I know more japanese from watching waaay too much anime in my life :lol:

I watch a ton of movies that no one else has ever heard of :heart: and I only read when I'm in the mood which is rare... and who likes to read books everyone else reads? I justed finished a book called suicide notes and it was really good in my opinion but I would never call anyone dumb if they didn't read it... it's all about personal preference :w00t:

I'm a perfectionist at times, so me having a funny accent drives me crazy! :XD:

I hate the programs they give that are supposed to teach people how to speak other languages. :(
I learned more Spanish by watching DVDs with a Spanish audio option! :D
(Even though I still can't really speak it... I hardly understand it... >.> )

I know more Japanese than any other language, too! :dance:
And for the same reason! :w00t:
(Although, I can't carry a conversation in it...)

I try to find movies that no one has heard of, but since no one's heard of them, I can't find them! ^^;

There was one movie called "An American Crime" or something like that and it was really good.
I haven't seen any ads for it and I can't find it in any stores (except for the video rental place) so I'm thinking it isn't very well known.

I don't read very many books that are popular... mainly because of the prices. ^^;
I get most of my books from Dollar Tree or Dollar General, places that have a small, but good selection of books. :aww:
A few weeks ago I bought a book that's entirely in Spanish. :o
I don't if I'll ever be able to read it though. :XD:

I'm glad you wouldn't call someone dumb, but there are people that would. :(
Not everyone wants to read a modern romance novel, but some people are so caught up in what's popular and what's not, they don't realize how stupid they sound when they say,"Omg! You haven't read that book that everyone talks about all the time?!?!?! That book that you haven't even read, yet you're sick of it?!?!?! You're a loser!!!!"
I wish there were more people that thought "Maybe they don't read the books because they're not a fan of that particular genre... maybe they're to busy too sit down and read a book... maybe they don't like to read... maybe they don't want to be disappointed when the book just doesn't live up to the hype."

I can't carry a conversation in either french or japanese but I can pick up a few words when other people are talking XD

oh you never have to worry about late responses I'm like the Queen of them :) well right now I'm procrastinating... I'm supposed to be reading my books for school -_- yea I'm readin the once and future king which is a good story but whenever I'm forced to read sumtin I hate it :lol:

sadly I have 3 projects for school :cry: and all my friends from other schools just have one :(

I've never seen that movie... haha
I borrow most of my books from friends and stuff like that ^_^ yay for people with the same taste as you :heart:

Yeah, I'll be watching an un-subbed TV show in another language and sometimes - if I'm lucky - I'll have an idea of what they're saying. :)

I'm procrastinating, too...
I'm supposed to be making purses for my cousin and my grandma, but I just get so tired of crocheting for hours and hours... :(

That's one thing that makes people hate so many things: being forced to do something!
Reading isn't supposed to just be a tool for school! It's supposed to take you on a journey from where you are to another time and place!
To another person's perspective!
But this whole,"You have to read this, you have to!" is what makes people hate it!
There was a time when I hated to read anything. It was school's fault... I had to read books so I could write a book report. But when summer came and I wasn't forced to read books, I loved to read! :love:
It's a fact that if people are forced to do anything, they'll hate it or be very unhappy about it! :nod:

the internet taught me how to knit but I still don't know how to finish it... haha yay for procrastinating.... other than that I can't do much else but work a sewing machine

I got 3 cause I'm in a overachivers type class but I'm lazy so I don't know what I'm doin in there XD

whenever I borrow sumtin from my friends they've usually read it first so I don't have to worry about it :w00t:
